Remember that timebenders gif set where Hiccup forgets everything about Merida and the Scotts because of Pitch and they eventually fight a war against each other?

I made a comic about it to gear up for Mericcup week.

Paul Quiroga, the wonderful artist for Mythspace: Black Mark, uploaded some wonderful full color Bungis artwork today, so it seemed like a great occasion to revive this Tumblr.

The Bungis mecha in Mythspace are inspired by the Bungisngis, as well as other giants from Philippine folklore. A few of those giants are described as having one eye, and we designed the mecha in such a way that it would be reasonable that they’d be likely to start those kinds of stories in a pre-industrial society.

Of course, the Bungis doesn’t really look like a giant next to the Lamalua (our rather liberal reimagination of the Laman Lupa elementals)…

Komiks are so underestimated these days.

Hey guys! This is a little late but this is the little sci-fi comic I drew with Paolo Chikiamco of Rocket Kapre (who wrote it). Mythspace Humanity is a one-shot and part of the Mythspace universe, Set in the future where Mythical creatures are actually aliens from space. Humanity is about a group of slave miners and more importantly, Danny and Marta, two friends who deal with decisions that change their lives.

It debuted this summer komikon and oh man the story is really good. Paolo really outdid himself. I really invested in drawing the feelings of the characters.

I’m really happy it gained generally favorable reviews *o* I’m sure it’s more for the story than my art but haha I feel happy Danny and Marta’s story is being told.

Reviews: Rappler / Jumper Cable / Blurred Lights

Dear guys who brought it at summer komikon, please tell me what you think :D?

Probably reblogged this already but not caring because I just read it and the feels were incredible.

Hold me i might faint from amazement

ommmmmmmmmmmmg Annie Wu is my art goddess.

whoa whoa whoa hold up guys. a strong, independant, witty, not over sexualized, WoC superhero????

can we say HELL FUCKIN YEH!!!!

This post is making the rounds again for some reason (not complaining). I see new comments akin to “Whoa, is this real?” and “I need this when it comes out!”

Excellent news: It’s a real thing and you can read it! Now! With your eyes! And it’s great! (Can I say that?) All three parts are available digitally, and you might also be able to find it collected in print under BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED #18 (from July 2013). As far as I know, the character will be showing up at some point in the current Batman Beyond 2.0 run, so keep an eye on that and ask DC for more if you like Nissa.

AND WHY WOULDN’T YOU? Look at her with her smirky Bat-smirk and Jennifer Connelly eyebrows. Really now.

Here’s another way to read the arc as of today: These issues are collected in the newest Batman Beyond trade paperback. Also, hey, I love you.

A truly unstoppable force.
